Mallorca 2020

Ricky goes to Mallorca
Palma Agulla
July 2020

Finally after rainy days in Poland I arrived in summer paradise.

During my flight to Mallorca, I met a young Polish girl who was heading north of the island to a small tourist village Ratjada. She offered me the ride there and I accepted without a second thought. I was situated completely north of the island away from the big city. This village had two beaches of which the smaller was more beautiful and practical for going naked. Through my research I read that Spain tolerates public nudity on beaches. This doesn’t mean that people can’t complain. There are always people that have negative views on the human body because of advertising.

I immediately noticed that most supermarkets on the island were closed. This was due to the Corona Virus situation that forced businesses to close. This meant long walks to get food and supplies and pay high cost for eating out.

I was very satisfied from my trip which led me from the north of the island all the way to Palma thanks to help from a few people who helped me hitchhike. Walking was difficult the weather was very hot. I found a nice spot in Palma far from the center to lay down and relax. The rocks were great to swim to and just bathe naked.

It was actually funny to see the reactions of people seeing me naked even though bathing naked is permitted in Spain. See my blog on naturism by clicking HERE :

Poland 2020

Poland 2020

Warsaw Gdansk Gdniya Gdansk  🇵🇱

July 2020

It’s been a long time I haven’t kept up with my blog due to a crazy virus situation COVID-19 which is only a media created pandemic to increase control the world poplulation.. Enough people believed the lie that they successfully brought all citizens to their countries of origin. Once in their country, citizens could not travel freely.

So I had been stuck for almost 4 months in a country that was controlled by mafia. After several visits to the court, I knew that the whole system was corrupt and I didn’t want any more particpation in the process. The last appearance at civil court was a disaster as the judge asked my translator his diploma to translate for me. He then postponed my suit for a later date AGAIN. This time, I decided it was better to cut my losses and get out.

I was fortunate to find a cheap bus ticket to Poland since all borders were closed to foreigners. The company ECOLINES took passengers from Odessa to Warsaw for only 500 UAH which is about $25 CAN. However, getting across the border was another story ! I want to take the time to thank my Ukranian buddy who took his time to come to court with me and give me useful advice. His experience in the legal system and as a local Ukranian was precious.

Crossing the border was no easy task. My plane ticket was not purchased since I was not assured of my entry into Poland. I immediately took my laptop and reserved a flight to Palma Mallorca ! The border guard thought everything was fine until she told me that I must stay in Poland 14 days for quarantine. I told her there was no way I could go back to Ukraine but she needed the decision of her supervisor. I then handed my court papers to the supervisor and he told me that the papers mentioned I was to be deported from Ukraine? It was at that moment, they told me I was fine to enter Poland. This procedure took almost 1 hour long.

Off I was to Warsaw! Upon arriving Warsaw I found a place to stay for a couple of days named the O&A Hostel. Prices were higher than Ukraine, but service and quality were much superior. My intention was to take a few pictures then leave to a more comfortable environment with sun and beach. I took another bus ticket this time to a port town called Gdansk. There are also plenty of wild beaches that I could be natural and naked 😉

My trip to Poland was a short one. The weather was fairly cold and rainy. When i arrived in Gdansk I booked a short stay at Hostel Przy Targu Rybnym. The city had a beautiful sandy beach named Stogi. However, the water was not as clean as I expected but had a beautiful sandy beach miles long. This is when I decided to change my route towards another nearby city Gdniya. This city was surrounded by beautiful lush forest and a cliff at the very end.

The weather was so disappointing that I was forced to stay in a hostel or be patient and wait for my next flight to Palma Mallorca.

There is alot of opportunites to go out and dance in Poland including international salsa, bachata and kizomba festivals.  Most festivals are in Warsaw.  I was not in the good period to go out dancing but there were local spots in Gdnyia to dance.

Odessa 2020

Odessa 2020

Ricky goes back to Odessa

March 2020

I have been told to come back to Odessa for my long awaited trial agains the Palladium and my presence was needed. This case was already more than 1 year in the making and I still haven’t received one penny from my stolen money which was over $ 1000. My hopes were really completely lost to getting my money back.

The road back to Ukraine was long as I had to take the buse from Egypt and fly from Israel to Romania. From Romania I took momento Bus to Moldova then hopped on a local bus to Odessa. This was the cheapest way I could get there for under $100 !

At the same time, the Coronoa Virus panic was getting so bad there was no way out of Ukraine. I did find some cool couchsurfers to come to the Odessa beach with me , which was a first time for them to explore naturism.

There are enormous opportunities to dance in Ukraine including nights and festivals.  The Ukrainians seem to love dancing late in the night.

The reason I love Odessa was for its beautiful beaches but were soon to be gone because of continued construction of private property along them which is really sad.

Egypt 2020

Egypt 2020

Ricky goes to Egypt
Cairo – Sinai Peninsula – Hurghada

January 2020

Egypt , by far has been the most difficult country I’ve ever encountered in my adventure across the globe. It has been already 1 year since I left everything behind with the goal to visit every country possible and the only thing that was preventing me to continue was the stolen money in Ukraine.
Getting into Egypt : There is an entry fee of 400 Egyptian Pounds which is equivalent of about $35 CAN. This fee MUST be paid in cash, they have NO terminal available to pay by debit or credit card so take out your cash at the nearest ATM.

Hitchhiking through the desert

Once I arrived to the nearest town called Nuweba, I was surprised to see absolutely no basic services available including WIFI , small restaurants or card terminals. It literally looked like a desert town. I immediately headed towards the highway since the next bus was in 6 hours. After 30 minutes of walking in the desert a friendly arab picked me up and headed to the next town, Dahab. To my disappointment, Dahab refused any type of card payment and had unavailable free wifi everywhere.

My stay in Cairo was short since there was not anything for me interesting for me to see except the dream of visiting the pyramids and that dream was achieved ! Cairo has about 25 million or so habitants and it takes some time to get used to the constant honking of cars and lack of lights to cross the streets. The hostel was Holy Sheets Hostel and I absolutely loved the decor of this place with their private curtains for beds and meeting travellers from all over the world including Canada.
My visit in Hurghada was nothing more than both disappointing and extraordinary. During my visit in Cairo I communicated with a CS friend by the name of Moody to host me during my stay in Hurghada. The bus ride with GOBus was about 7 hours from Cairo at the cost of about 200 Egyptian Pounds which is a very good price. Upon my arrival at about 6 am Moody was waiting for me directly out of the bus ! This man was so generous and kind I couldn’t believe anyone would get out of their way to offer me free breakfast at his home with his wife and kids. He also showed me the area of Hurghada by car. I am always grateful for the generosity of this man!
My exploration of Hurghada began the next day with a walk along the boardwalk but to my dismay the beaches were completely raped of their beauty by private enterprises. There was NO WAY to access a pubic beach except for 1 small area of which I ended my walk and spent a few hours with a beautiful Ukranian woman Alina. My nakedness inside me couldn’t bare to be free and I told her I would go and swim naked and she was completely open and said there was no problem. To my surprise, no one ever made a complaint about the nudity or shocked which is surprising for a muslim country.
I have to admit that the Egyptian people are by far kind and generous especially the law enforcement. I cannot say the same for Canadian Law enforcement with their lack of communication skills with the public that pays their salaries.
It is now time to leave Hurghada and Egypt. I was quite disappointed with several aspects of this country even though many people have spoken of Egypt as a beautiful country. The quality of internet including speed and blockage of applications, credit card payment system, lack of quality of roads, overconstruction of luxury hotels and resorts and lack of cleanliness of beaches are on my top lists of things that make me very angry about this country. I was hoping to get a few beautiful beaches to relax but the lack of cleanliness and disrespect for the environment are completely disregarded. There are no public free beaches in Egypt other than accessible by car and very far of reach for the public. After leaving Hurghada, which I enjoyed partly for the beautiful waters close to my appartment, I took a bus and headed for next destination Ukraine in the hope of getting back my stolen money.

Israel 2020

Israel 2020

Ricky goes to Israel
Tel Aviv – Haifa – Eilat

January 2020

The weather in Haifa was getting to be depressing and I managed to work almost 2 months in a cute little Hostel called the Haifa Hostel. The owner Omer is always looking for volunteers and it has 2 floors but one floor still needs to be renovated.

The beaches were gold and clean but just a bit frisky.  The sun enable me to just bathe and go in the water to refresh.  Even though Israel does not have any designated nude beaches I managed to convince two hosts to try swimming naked in Israel for their first time which was really cool since the weather was perfect for swimming naturally !

You can read more about NATURISM or nudism HERE .

The time had come to leave the hostel and made the decision to move south since the weather was rainy almost every day and cold ! My desire for swimming was getting intense and I know the weather was warm and shiny in Eilat. Since I wanted to make it as fast as possible without arriving at night I paid the $20 CAN fee to take the train to Beer Shiva and then decided to try and hike all the way to Eilat. Already the weather was nice but difficult since it was all highway from there. I managed to talk to a driver but he gave me $20 NIS for free !!! He couldn’t speak English. I took the $20 and took a bus straight on the road all the way to the next stop that allowed me for another bus to Eilat. After realizing the cost of a bus was another $20 CAN I decided to hitchike all the way and a nice friendly Israeli let me hop in and drive me all the way to Eilat for free. It is quite easy to take a ride from the desert since it is extremely harsh and no one wants a dead hitchhiker on the roads !

Tel Aviv Ga’ash Haifa

December 2019

The weather in Limassol was getting a bit frisky at night so I decided to take a cheap $13 Euro flight to Israel. I had no choice to make a quick decision and keep warm since my clothes were not fit for the weather. I found any place I could sleep since my budget was getting extremely tight and was disappointed that no work was getting in like expected.
I arrived in Tel-Aviv that night and proceeded to enter the country but was prevented from entering until a border patrol agent asked me a few questions. This time I could not fail the test and I succeeded in getting my 3 month stay in the state of Israel.
I proceeded to enter the bus towards the nearest beach I could since anything I need for survival is available at the beach. My IPhone was fucking up on me ever since I got caught in a rain storm in Cyprus and got the phone wet. It was still working but it was a huge headache finding anything without the phone going crazy. I did eventually get to the beach a few hours after landing and found a place to rest before the sun came back up.

After a really exciting 2 days walking across Tel-Aviv up to Ga’ash I finally found my hostel that was looking for people to help them renovate a hostel in the city of Haifa.

Here are a few groups that organis latin nights in Israel The level is quite beginner everywhere and big lack of knowledge of basic fundatmental steps and I highly recommend to bring a partner since they only dance one dance if you are lucky.

Bachata Nation – Tel Aviv
Latino Mind – Haifa
Latino Beat – Haifaa

Cyprus 2019

Cyprus 2019

Ricky goes back to Cyprus
Paphos, Limassol, Nicosia, Famagusta

November 2019

The weather was just getting unbearaby cold in Romania so I took a cheap $35 flight right to Cyprus where you can swim and enjoy the scenery. Paphos has unique coastlines filled with volcanic rock and sea caves. Incredible natural scenery.
Dancing in Cyprus :
Omnia – every Friday night . Located old town Paphos
Bossa Nova – every Saturday night – Located 15 min. out of city center by car. Limassol. Great venue, free entrance !
Columbia Beach – every Thursday and Sunday. Nice venue, free entrance with drinks.

If you need any more info just go to facebook group LATIN DANCE FRIENDS CYPRUS. I haven’t danced in Nicosia since I was told it wasm’t recommended. In any case, the level is low in Cyprus, bring a dancing friend to keep you busy all night. Cyprus is a small island and people seem to dance mostly within their group of friends rather than asking outsiders for a dance. Don’t be shy to ask or you will find the night very long ! There are the few people Stevee Church, Maurizio Sergi of Italy and otherss who are really nice, friendly and great to dance with that I have met on my journey. I thank them for showing me the dance venues and certainly encourage them they are doing a great job of promoting latin dance !

As you can see from the picture Governor’s beach is nothing more than magnificent ! However, getting there is another story , it took me about 3 hours by foot which I would have never done in summer weather. I was very lucky to get a friendly cypriot who droe me right down to the beach area. Once I arrived I couldn,t resist to take the clothes off and start diving and swimming ! Be aware that nude swimming is ”illegal” in Cyprus , but only if someone makes a complaint so try to stay discreet and swim with not too many people around.

I was in Limassol for the end of my stay in Cyprus and I couldn’t resist to bathe naked in the wonderful area called Dasoudi Beach. They have a wonderful natural park with enough trees to keep your privacy along the beach. Don’t forget nudity is illegal in Cyrpus so always keep a suit close by if passers by might snitch and make a complaint. I even had a Cypriot give me the fist if ever he saw me nude. BE CAREFUL.

Pissouri Beach is the only beach which is permitted nudity but you need transporation to get there. I was lucky enough to get invited but they never sent me the pictures ! Its a nice beach but very small……Dasoudi is MUCH better and access to restaurants and cafés.
